Planning & Design
Step One: Free Survey and Quote
Our Company Director Tom Reed will personally come and survey your loft space and assess your property's suitability for conversion.
Drawing on his experience as both a loft convertor and a student of architecture, he will suggest the most suitable options for maximising your space.
Once you have decided which solution best suits your needs he will provide you with a free written quotation with a fixed price for the entire process from design to completion
Step Two: Professional Drawings
Once you have accepted the quote our Architect, Jeff Atkins of Strachan Design, will contact you to produce plans tailored to your specific needs.
Jeff has been designing lofts for over thirty years and was the government's main advisor on the new planning legislation for loft conversions.
Once the plans are complete Tom Reed will meet with you to ensure they are exactly as you want them and to give you the opportunity to make any changes.
Step Three: Council Approving and Planning
Once you are satisfied, the plans will be sent to the local authority for building regulations approval. If the property is a flat, or in a conservation area, we will also submit them for planning approval.
If planning consent is required it will take up to three months from accepting the quote to gaining approval. If not we can be ready to start construction within a month of receiving your order.
A local authority surveyor will inspect the process at four stages during construction to ensure it complies with building regulations and will issue a certificate of completion after the final inspection.
